Change post-enlightenment
A sun-lit window
Why is it impossible to change after enlightenment?
As an enlightened person, can I wake up one day and willfully reject enlightenment?
The answer is NO.
Because for a person to do that, it would mean to demonically silence and enslave themselves to other people and society. Here are some examples of what I mean:
It would mean believing that some human beings are more important than others.
It would mean rationalizing that you’re generally less than someone else.
That some people are perfectly good or innocent compared to others. Or that some people are perfectly evil.
It would also mean justifying other dualities
It would also mean rationalizing that scientific knowledge is equal to truth.
Or believing that one religion is better than another.
It would mean rejecting progress, being closed minded, materialistic, attached, and justifying and believing that time is linear.
But finally, rejecting enlightenment would mean rejecting The Creator, religion, and spirituality altogether.
This is simply impossible for me to do. That’s why we say that enlightenment brings blissfulness and freedom. Enlightenment is a divine gift from The Creator that not you or anyone can take away from you.
Once you’re enlightened, you become renewed. Your old self becomes a lingering but ultimately powerless memory.
